The Motheo Column - DWEN Form 011 is conceived as an architectural object. Not an ornament, but form with intent. Named Motheo, meaning foundation, the piece reflects a language of stability, proportion, and quiet authority.

Its silhouette is deliberate: a grounded base that rises into a cylindrical column, punctuated by controlled protrusions and a refined opening at the crown.

The geometry is disciplined, almost architectural. Each transition is measured, each surface is resolved.

A hand-finished matte black body is interrupted by an ivory-toned band, where carved motifs introduce rhythm without excess. The contrast is subtle, considered, and precise.

Developed in collaboration with Ampofo Ceramist, each vessel is shaped and finished by hand, with a focus on material integrity rather than surface perfection. The result is a piece that carries depth, one that reveals itself through light, texture, and proximity.

This is an object designed to hold space.
