In this deeply meaningful collaboration, NIZARRA created a layered visual experience for a psychoanalytic clinic, rooted in African wisdom, identity, and connection.
The goal was to foster a calm, culturally affirming environment that resonates with both patients and practitioners.
The Project
Project:
Psychoanalytic Clinic Art, Branding & Interior Finishes
Location:
Netcare Parklane
Scope of Work:
Custom artworks, stucco wall finishes, signage design, branded information panels, cultural installations, and artistic collaboration
Design Intent:
To create a psychologically safe, culturally affirming space for healing, reflection, and connection.
Collaborative Highlight:
A key part of the project was our collaboration with a local artist whose African-inspired paintings brought additional soul, colour, and authenticity to the space. Their expressive artworks created a powerful dialogue between psychology and culture, adding depth to the clinic’s identity and reinforcing its purpose as a place of healing.

Stucco-Effect Plaster Wall Finish
We introduced a textured stucco wall treatment to soften the space and add warmth. The tactile finish evokes natural African surfaces and supports a calming, earthy ambiance that complements the artwork and furnishings.
Acrylic Feature Artwork: “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu”
This bold, glossy acrylic print featuring the Ubuntu philosophy - “I am Because We are” anchors the space in a shared human experience. It communicates the clinic’s therapeutic ethos in a striking, contemporary format.
Clinic Signage & Public Information Branding
We developed soft yet impactful signage and information panels to guide visitors. This included culturally appropriate fonts, colour palettes, and messaging that ensured accessibility, warmth, and clarity.

Africa Map Shelf with Artefacts
A bespoke wall-mounted display shelf shaped like the African continent holds curated artefacts, books, and cultural items. This installation honours heritage while enriching the sensory and symbolic environment.
